Blog Design And Content Guidelines

Here Are some basic but still important guidelines that you should follow while designing your blog and adding content to it :

  • Make a site with a clear hierarchy and text links. Every page should be reachable from at least one static text link. (Clean and Simple Design)

  • Offer a sitemap to your users with links that point to the important parts of your site. If the site map has an extremely large number of links, you may want to break the site map into multiple pages. (If You can't afford to make a page for sitemap make sure that your homepage has links to all the important pages)

  • Keep the links on a given page to a reasonable number. (Search Engines like google don't like pages with more than 100 links)

  • Create a useful, information-rich site, and write pages that clearly and accurately describe your content. (Stick to your niche)

  • Think about the words users would type to find your pages, and make sure that your site actually includes those words within it. (Well I don't know what it is called I call it keywording. If You know what it is called please let me know too..)

  • Try to use text instead of images to display important names, content, or links. The Google crawler doesn't recognize text contained in images. If you must use images for textual content, consider using the "ALT" attribute to include a few words of descriptive text. (Write for the humans but also make sure that your content is readable to the search engine robots/crawlers)

  • Make sure that your <title> elements and ALT attributes are descriptive and accurate. (The thing that influences your ranking the most is <title> Choose Your Title For the page accurately)

  • Check for broken links and correct HTML. (There are plenty of services on the web that will do it for you but if you can squeeze some cash out of your pocket.)

  • If you decide to use dynamic pages (i.e., the URL contains a "?" character), be aware that not every search engine spider crawls dynamic pages as well as static pages. It helps to keep the parameters short and the number of them few.( Remember making your Blog extra dynamic can decrease your ranking for except your content is exceptionally good).

In This I pointed some Basic Guidelines that search Engines like google too agree with. Any Suggestions and feedbacks are welcome)
